ORONDO SPRAY
Composition: Each 100 ml contains: Chlortetracycline (hydrochloride) 2g; excipient q.s 100 ml.
Dosage form: Topical aerosol
Properties: Chlortetracycline is an antibiotic of the tetracycline group. It inhibits the bacterian protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit; it blockades the aminoacyl transfer attachment of the RNA. It is active against the following organisms:
- Gram positive nad Gram negative bacteria: Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus spp., Klebsiella spp., Clostridium spp., Fusobacterium spp.
- Rickettsia
- Chlamydias
- Protozoa: Theileria, Eperythozoom and Anaplasma
Target species: Cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, birds, cats and dogs.
Indications for use: ORONDO SPRAY is indicated in the treatment of surgical wounds or superficial wounds, and as coadjuvant in the treatment of footrot, and other interdigital infections caused by sensitive microoraganisms.
Doses and mode of administration: Shake well before using. Spray the affected area at a distance of 15 – 20 cm until cover it. Repeat treatment depending on the evolution and on the gravity of wounds.
Contraindications: Do not administer in animals with known hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
Side effects: Local skin reactions
Interactions: Not described
Overdose: Overdose is unlikely due to the instructions for use. In long treatments, dermopathologies by hypersensitivity may appear which gradually disappear failing medication.
Special precautions for use: Shake well before using. Before application, clean the zone to be treated to eliminate dirt and necrosed tissues. Avoid contact with the eyes since local irritation may appear. Avoid contact or lick with treated zone for 5 minites.
Withdrawal period: In case of urgent slaughtering, seize the treated area.
Storage conditions: Keep in original containers, store in cool and dry places, protect from moisture, light and heat. Do not spray near flame or any incandescent material. Pressurized container. Do not expose to direct sunlight or temperature exceeding 450C. Do not either perforate or throw on a fire, even when empty.
Presentations: Container of 250 ml.
Shelf-life: 4 years from the manufacturing date
