The best nutritional product for weak and low-weight piglets at birth
Composition: Vitamin A: 3.000 IU; Vitamin D3: 1.500 IU; Vitamin E (α-tocopherol): 10 mg; total fatty acids: minimum 94%; excipient q.s 1 ml.

Properties:
Energyn is a fatty acid gel, mainly composed of medium-chain fatty acids, with a high energy concentration that is used for treating weak piglets or those with a low birth weight.
Energyn is a fast source of energy that allows smaller piglets to overcome intra-litter competition and hypothermia, so that they can take colostrum and increase their chances of survival.
Pigs can easily use medium-chain fatty acids. Most fat digestion starts in the duodenum. Faaty acids are released by the action of pancreatic lipase over triglycerides. The triglycerides of medium-chain fatty acids are hydrolyzed faster and more completely than triglycerides of long-chain fatty acids. Moreover, medium-chain fatty acids can also reach the liver quicker and in a higher amount.
Advantages of the use of medium-chain fatty acids are:
- Faster gastrointestinal hydrolysis
- Higher absorption rate
- Higher oxidation in the Krebs cycle because they do not depend on carnitine for entering the mitochondria
Species of destination and indications: Piglets: weak and low-weight piglets at birth, with difficulties in sucking colostrum due to litter completion and hypothermia.
Dosage:
1 pulse (2 ml)/animal/day. Energy is administered in a single pulse, equivalent to 2 ml of product. It is recommended to apply it daily for the first two days of life of the piglets, starting as soon as possible after birth.
