Composition: Each ml contains: Penicillin G procaine 200,000 IU, Dihydrostreptomycin sulfate 250 mg, Betamethasone 0.5 mg, Chlorpheniramine maleate 8 mg, Procaine hydrochloride 15 mg; excipient q.s 1 ml.

Pharmaceutical form: Injectable suspension
Properties: Synergistic association of penicillin G procaine of slow absorption and dihydrostreptomycin, presented in injectable suspension ready to administer intramuscularly. Penicillin G procaine rapidly produces high blood levels that last 24 hours. Dihydrostreptomycin sulfate complements and enhances the antimicrobial action. They are active against Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Haeamophilus spp., Klebsiella pneumonia, staphylococci and streptococci. Chlorpheniramine maleate acts as desensitizer, antihistaminic, and improver of respiratory processes. Betamethasone acts as anti-inflammatory.

Target species: Cattle, swine, horses, sheep, goats, dogs and cats

Indications for use: Treatment of bacterial infections caused by germs sensitive to the association penicillin-dihydrostreptomycin sulfate.

Posology and method of administration:

General dose: 1 – 1.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight for 3 – 4 days

Cattle and horses: 15 – 25 ml per animal daily

Swine: 10 – 12 ml per animal daily

Dogs and cats: 0.5 – 2 ml per animal daily

INTRAMUSCULAR ROUTE

Contraindications: It is contraindicated in hypersensitive animals to any component of the speciality. Use at the end of gestation (last third) can advance parturition in cattle. Do not administer in hordes producing meat for human consumption.

Undesirable effects (fequency and seriousness): Allergic reactions may appear in sensitized animals, and they will be treated with antihistaminics and/or corticosteroids.

Interactions: Not described.

Overdose: When overdose occur, treatment should be discontinued at once and a  symptomatic treatment administered.

Special precautions for use: Suspension may be used as many times as necessary, when aseptic precautions are carried out on taking the necessary doses. Length of treatment will be determined by the veterinary depending on the severity of the disease. The average length is three days.

Withdrawal period: Meat: 30 days; milk: 3 days (6 milkings). Not allowed its use in horses producing meat for human consumption.

Storage conditions: Protect from moisture, light and heat.

Presentations: Vials of 10, 50, 100 and 250 ml.

Shelf-life: 2 years from the manufacturing date
